CSR's very own Disk2 was interviewed over at BombSiteX to talk about his popular and nifty program called HLamp (which I use) which can let you control your Winamp and Winamp Playlist while playing Half-Life. Here's a snippet:
What was the most difficult problem in creating HLamp?
The most difficult problem was probably figuring out how to interface with Half-Life without using hooks and without triggering the VALVe Anti-Cheat. Another problem initially was getting HLamp to work with Winamp 2.x and Winamp 3.0, since they use slightly different commands to do the same thing. Other than that, it wasn't all that difficult.
